Overview

With all companies under one merged database, new functions and access can be opened up to
LoanerTrak users - especially Planners and Schedulers.

With a few changes to settings, Planners will be able to view and book loaners in other locations
(companies) See article Forwarding a Request to another Company

Users can also forward individual sets, that they can not supply, to other companies simply by dragging and dropping them to the other location. These appear as new requests in the other company’s booking screen.

Setup 

1. In LoanerTrak, click Admin > Users to open the User Maintenance screen. Select a user to add access to. In this example we will use Daniel. Click the Edit External Company Access button.



2. In the External Company Security screen, click the company lookup button to set up access to that company.



A list of available companies pops up. Select the external company. In this example, we will select NLW
 



3. Add the screen(s) that this user will be granted access to in the other company. This is done by
selecting the screen in the left window and pressing the > arrow to move it to the right window.
In this example, we have selected a list of 6 screens that are typically required by a planner to access drag and drop, booking, and view options in another company.



4. When finished, close this popup screen and the User Maintenance screen. Pressing Save on the
User Maintenance screen is not required as these are automatically saved when moved across to the right pane.
